How to play

Take turns whapping the middle of each other's pencil. Break theirs and you win.

  1. Wind up. On your turn, press and hold. Let go when you have pulled back a little or a lot. A lot hits harder, but the next bar runs faster. Hang on too long and your pencil slips.
  2. Whap. A marker sweeps along their pencil. Tap to stop it between the two arrows, right in the middle.
  3. Hold steady. On their turn, hold to squeeze and let go to relax. Keep your grip in the green zone when they swing. Too loose and the pencil gives. Too tight and it snaps under the stress. Watch their wind up: a big one needs a firmer grip.
  4. Watch your own pencil. Sloppy hits crack the striker's pencil too. Whoever's pencil breaks loses.
